Braxton Dutson, LCSW, CST

You probably have been doing a lot of work on your own, making progress at times and then slipping back into old patterns. You work so hard to better your relationship or improve yourself and there seems to be something missing. You’re looking for a therapist that builds on your hard work, has the tools to help you change hindering actions and has the experience to help you achieve your goals.

I work with motivated couples and individuals who are looking to take control of their sexual experiences, communication skills, and diversify their approach to life’s problems. Whether you are here because you are experiencing the same argument time after time, you want to be a better version of yourself, or you are struggling with pornography use, I can help.

I work in three areas to best support your approach to issues you’re experiencing. 1. We change old, unhelpful, actions to new ones through developing personal coping skills. 2. We identify your negative patterns and begin the process of changing them to your desired actions through small and simple changes. 3. We identify and process experiences that affect or block your current progress; mentally, physically, and emotionally. I use these three components along with your personal experiences to create a unique therapeutic experience for you. I want you to feel heard, included, and understood through this process.

I would love to see if I’m a good fit for you. I have worked with many motivated individuals to help them achieve their goals. Many find the different techniques I use are helpful in addressing your unique experiences and issues. Some of my credentials consist of being a Certified Mind-Body Bridging therapist, trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples having over 300 hours of post-graduate sex therapy training and being certified as a 4-D therapist (I utilize the four quadrants of Gina Odgen's 4-dimensional wheel).  I look forward to meeting you.

I run a Father’s group every second Wednesday of the month at 8 pm online. This group is for fathers that want to better understand their child’s development, how to deal with their partner when the relationship feels crazy and to create a game plan for fatherhood. Not to mention BS with other dads

I also Host a popular sexual/relationship health podcast for couples and parents called Birds and Bees Podcast you can download episodes that pertain to your situation on iTunes, Spotify, and Stitcher.
