Kelsey Eisenberg, CSW

Somewhere along the line, we learned it wasn’t okay to be ourselves. No wonder we are now exhausted, anxious, and depressed. We feel disconnected, burnt out, stuck in loops of relationship conflict and misunderstanding.

I’m Kelsey, I help individuals and partners transform their relationships to be deeply satisfying and connected, starting with the relationship to oneself. My work centers attachment and authenticity, and addresses conflicts that sit at the intersection of relationships, trauma, identity and sexuality.

As a queer, polyamorous woman, I know how important it is to find a non-judgemental therapist – I’m not here to fix you, or dictate what your values should be. I can offer you witnessing, compassion, and a sense of humor. My office is a space to connect to parts of yourself or your relationship that are difficult to face alone. My hope for all my clients is that by the end of our work together they can invite more joy, more playfulness, and more connection into their lives.

I work from a non-pathologizing, relationship-centered lens and am trained in Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. I am supervised by Janet Vivian, LCSW and regularly engage in IFS consultation with a certified supervisor.

Individual Therapy with Kelsey

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”

― Carl R. Rogers

Individuals who are drawn to work with me tend to be doers, fixers, who have tried everything and often manage very well, but nevertheless have a sense that there’s something still wrong, something stuck, or something in the way of experiencing connection. They often identify with the symptoms of, or have received the following diagnoses:

  • Complex PTSD

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Burnout

I work with individuals to integrate trauma, process grief, and cultivate pleasure.

Couples Therapy with Kelsey

“To be unseen is to fall out of existence in some important way.”

— Bonnie Badenoch

I help partners to see conflict’s potential for connection, healing and repair. I also support partners who are navigating significant transitions. Couples who wish to work with me typically are seeking a therapist who understands:

  • Consensual Non-Monogamy

  • Developmental and/or Complex Trauma

  • Intersectional Identities (ie. LGBTQIA couples, mixed-race couples, and mixed-ability couples)
